Doesn't sound like you need new batteries to me, I'd wait till they get bad then spend the money lol.

I did add the momentary switch, Why? I guess I am just a little control freak Actually I just really disliked how the GP's would stay on for up to 2 minutes and my thinking was if I could control it, might just help the system last a little longer with less time ON thus less strain.

I probably will wait, but what I have learned over the years is batteries usually fail at the worst possible time, usually in the summer due to extreme heat, or in the winter due to extreme cold.
Maybe I'll just take them in to Les Shawab and have them tested for peace of mind.

Find somebody with a battery re-conditioner.

Have em ran. Its obvious you have another vehicle. You'll get a few more years out of them.

I can see it OK, even with this hughes net internet satillite on my 5er.

Your right Rich, mine were great until it stranded me. A lot of people change them out before they fail but I'm like the majority here, run them until they puck.

Yeah, if you've got another vehicle, then it's not really a big deal to yank'em both out and have them tested. Make sure to have them tested somewhere that measures the Cold Cranking Amps and not only the Voltage.

I bought them from a local auto parts (not a chain store)
Here is a link, IIRC I got the 11502 & 11502.
1997 Ford F-250 and F-350 Heavy Duty Towing Mirrors | etrailer.com
They work pretty good, good towing mirrors are a problem for these trucks. If you are interested I can give you more info on how I installed mine.
