Challe:: I had a starting problem with this truck for the last year, so I will change all the glow plugs hoping that this can be part of my starting problem??? This past year we have drove down several avenues to try & pin point this problem, so just maybe, (say a little prayer). I will drive this truck on all my errands & I will give U_ALL a report!!!!!

I installed the new M.C. Glow Plugs.
9 days & counting ,The truck is starting & running like a Crown Jewel. I am leaning toward the (GLOW PLUGS) as a big part of my starting problem .Can we hang our hat on the plugs being the starting problem this past year? We did change some other parts on the engine ,but nothing put the problem to bed::. I will follow up with another update in a couple weeks.

99% of the time hard starts are caused by bad glow plugs and bad/tired starters.
most people ink since it turns over the starter is good. until they put a new starter in and realize the engine is now turning over 2-3 times faster.

 

Quote*** 4 weeks and counting--The truck is running great, like old times. My advise to all is put in the Motor craft glow plugs first . If that does not fix your starting problem then you can try something else.

i have the same problem only i have the 460 hp reg. gas it starts with a shot of starting fluid but doesn't stay runing i would appreciate any advice on a fix everyday that goes by is a day i cant work
