new truck.first big mod

Well fellas...i just got my 96 f350. A week and 3 days ago... she has 317000 miles ...i have replaced pass vc, harness, pig tails.
It has a drop in air filter in original housing.Today i removed the original factory exh.Yea all those miles and never been molested...kinda sad...not! I installed an mbrp down pipe feeding a 4" rest of the exh. And finished it with a stainless 4" tip....nice tone though not really loud. Now to scrape some cash together for a flip chip. I really only need economy and towing improvement.will on occasion have to pull 29' enclosed car trailer... are the leveling kits for these any good?

Nice. Now get rid of the drop in filter and get a 6637 intake from clay at Riffraff diesel

For preformance yes but more for keeping the turbo happy and not getting dusted. The stack air box sucks

I just fabbed up the 6637 with a section of 4" 45-elbow as well- scuffed it, painted it black, and put a hole in it for the restriction gauge. Looks ok for homemade!

well fellas, I am on board with the 6637 air filter.

how about it is available more places than napa just incase one is not around

Baldwin pn PA2818
Car Quest 88637
wix 46637
fram also does but i lost it...was a CA prefix

just putting it out there...all are around 50-60 here

IS there a prefrence on a leveling kit for the front of this truck? It has too much rake!

6637 filter assy built, installed! I like that so much better than that stupid air box...You guys rock!
Just one question...at what point is an IC needed? I dont plan on getting crazy with this truck but it will be pulling a 28' enclosed car trailer on occasion,or any one of my customers cars to who knows where...I am guessing wait on a chip obviously untill ic so it need programmed once...but it is a slippery slope and this old engine has 319000to miles....so injectors and hpop prob but hope the engine does not crap out...ahhhh
opinions?thanks fellas!

I'd get gauges first, then the chip, so you can see where you are with EGTs. Gauges are next on my list. I'm by no means an expert on this, just what I'm learning on here!LOL!
