Lets see it guys!!! Give me inspiration. I need to fab up a custom grille guard/pre runner/bumper just wanna see what looks best with the 73-79 body style. The deer are thick around here and i dont want to risk damage to the truck. Looking for relatively simple yet tough and good looking guards.

Heres an example, id prefer to have a guard too though

Here is what I had on my old 79 that I used to have. A 4" solid steel pipe

This one is tough and cut to work with the factory bumper curve and mount with the factory top bumper mount bolts and the front spring mount bolts.

Can send you a paper pattern of the side plates.....

Probably a pretty cheap deal to get a local welding shop to copy.

Heres my junk, I don't know much about it. It was in need of a lot of repairs when I got it so I welded up the brackets, and some of the guards that were broke off. Came with the truck. Truck was originally modified im guessing in the 80's due to the Firestone Super All Traction tires and Jackman 17.5" rims

 

Came with the truck so I know nothing about it.

Note home made, and no longer on my truck, but there is a lot of F100s in Australia with bull bars.

 

I still think those would be useful in LA traffic.
