Traded off my 2001 F250 today. Local Kia dealer had a gas guzzler trade special so i opted for a used 2007 Ford Fusion SE 2.3 model. I left the K&N FIPK on the truck but removed the tuner and put it back to stock. Tuner is now up for sale. Has Mikes 87 octane economy and performance tunes and an 89 performance tune loaded. Not sure what people are paying but shoot me an email or post here and see what we can work out. Have tuner and all accessories. Would like to see $250 SOLD

I bought one second hand a month or so ago and didnt pay quite that much and had free shipping. The tunes will also have to be updated as well with the new truck's strategy. I didnt realize this when purchasing so I didnt wind up saving as much as I'd hoped. I will say this the tun er is by far the best mod I have done to date.

 

Jason, what did you pay if i may ask. Not looking to shaft anyone just not sure what the going price would be. I am already down $170 at $250, but if the new owner has to pay extra to get the proper strategy tune and or tunes they want i want to make it easier to them. Jon

 

I have a 2000 V10 4x4. Would I need to do anything before I added it to my truck or would it just be plug and play? I know the trucks are practically the same from '00 to '01 so just let me know if y'all have any idea. If it would work I would definitely be interested.

These are not just plug and play from truck to truck, you would have to make sure it would match you PCM (truck's strategy). Shoot mike a e-mail or call him at 5 Star to see how much it would cost to reprogram then figure that in to your offer.

Got a V10 Ford F250/350/450/550?

 

What I did was get email tunes from Mike that were to my truck's strategy. I bought 2 email tunes for $140 I believe. It is a very quick process.

 

So assuming the trucks' strategy changed from 2000 to 2001 would I be able to use the tuner at all without buying a tune or two through email?

 

My computers model number was UNI0 i believe. Not sure how it affects tuning. Waiting for Mike to respond to my email. I was hoping to be able to get the $250 shipped. Offers will be considered. Jon

 

This is a fair price fellas and a great mod for saving gas and adding power. I would assume you'd need to order new tunes, I will not speak for 5 Star. I bought mine from a guy with an 08 and when I loaded his tunes my truck woulndnt even start. Just plan on a buying a tune it's still a good deal.

 

Sp after factoring in the fact that the tuner will have to be sent in most likely , at a price of about $140, i am lowering the price to $200 shipped. It is set up for the UNI0 computer, truck was a 2001 Ford F250 V10 with auto tranny. It has the 87 economy tune and 87/89 performance tunes. THis thing really makes a difference. shifting is better and preformance increase is vastly different. I paid $415 from Mikes 5 Star.
