Right now, just to drive the truck to the tranny shop, we temporarily connected the mufflers to just before the rear axle. I got a lot of resonance in the cab, but keep in mind not permanent. Now I plan to do as you did and send it up and over, put H-pipe, and out the back of the rear tires in a 45deg. They were as you said quiet unless you mash it with those magnaflows and 2.25 pipes.

I might be a little responsible for that when I asked you some exhaust questions. Sorry about that chief, so bring us back to center.

I may have missed it, but has a tire choice been made? I'm hoping to run 255\70-15 all the way around my 77 with dream beams and a flip kit. May have to settle for 235\75 in the front though. BFG Radial T/A or cooper cobras most likely

Wheels are settled, rear tire size is settled. I'm waffling btwn 215/70, 225/70, and 235/60 for the fronts.

Brand unknown.

For the rears, yes... on the way for the fronts are 15x7.

...235/60s would lower the front by another inch.... more headscratching on what to do. Input?

I have 235/60 on my 8" rims which looks perfect but on a 7" rim it would be too bulbous so I'd suggest to you the 215/70. I think that will look best. I also hate seeing a raked stance.

Well here's the issue: The axle flip seems to have resulted in the rear being one-half to three-quarters of an inch lower than the front. I'm hoping with a few miles that the suspension settles in to be even or a little nose-down. At that time, I'll decide on which front tires to install... I'd rather have the nose a little lower than being a tail dragger.

I'll also be looking for a powdercoating shop. There is one a few blocks from my office but I want to shop around to see others' quality.

Might be farther than you want to go, but Nor-Cal Powder Coating in Ukiah does good work, I used to know the owners back when I lived there.

Nor Cal Powder Coating - Production Painting At Its Finest - Welcome!

Not trying to make it more difficult for your OCD'ness oh Sir Hio, but 60 series tires would not only drop the front a tad but also more match the width of the rear tires. IMHO if ya got steamrollers in the back ya gotta have some width in the front tires also. Unless you're building a 40 ****** gasser.

Arigato jefffafasan...

I don't wanna match the rear tire width due to these rigs' narrower rear track width and visual anomaly of crabbing or "dog walking" down the road.

_______

Dang jeff.... your signature sure eats up alot of on-screen real estate!

I was thinking the width of the front tires more inbound and the rears more outbound. But come to think of it,you be usin' steelies.

Yep. I have a fast and hard work ethic. I'm either pounding my wholesale phone calls, catching back up,or here. Sometimes it catches up with me but what the heck. I really enjoy this community domo. Present company included (Mr Japanese Roboto).

I know I'm wasting a post but I wanna throw in there that the easiest way to lower your front end is to wrap a ratchet strap around the bumper and pull it down to the front axle....it would would look horribly fantastic but it would fit your low buck!!! Sorry Hio, I wanted to be a smart *** cuz it cracked me up...I'm pathetic...

I could also:
. fill up the back side of the front bumper with concrete
. weld two-inch thick structural rebar to the frame rails
. add an auxiliary battery

---------

Priced out a set of tires at my fav shop... $720.
