does spiking the gas with 99% alcohol really help with emissions?
I heard to put about a gallon of alcohol in 6 gallons of premium gas will make an engine blow clean on an emissions sniffer.

can anyone call this fact? or BS?

 

Maybe. Have you attempted to smog something and failed? If so, do you have a print out of your results?

Alcohol could have negative effects on fuel system components also. Especially methanol.

 

Actually, methanol...up to a 10% mix will reduce HC, NOx & CO.

my neighbor runs his stock car on alcohol, im gonna ask him if I can have a gallon....
