Question on 5.8 swap (fuel pressure)

You need to obtain a Haynes or shop manuals. There are multiple pumps on the early EFI and a single in tank in the late EFI. Also there are differing methods of fuel return. The manual will have the specific routing and methods by year.
Good choice of swap and you can use stock 302 mounting for the engine with a bit of creativity for the trans.
Also watch the intake manifold height as it may get real close to the hood.

Go online and find a factory service manual plus an electrical and vacuum troubleshooting manual. It will be money well spent. I have pages that are falling out of my Lincoln manuals for my 4.6 DOHC swap. Those manuals will give you all the info that you need.
Garbz will probably know if the Haynes are as good but I really got good info out of the factory manuals.
Sidenote: Garbz, the 4.6 DOHC is done and running.
