Its been 100* here in the Black Hills and besides being chased around by forest fires my ac, which has been working good since I replaced the HS switch, is cutting out. Is my system overcharged according to your figures above Mike? It doesn't make sense to me for it to be overcharged. If you guys (Mike) don't see this I'll start a new thread but sometimes old threads get more attention.

Normally when the HS gets too high is cause of a blockage.

Was that with the AC an max?

Great, not what I wanted to hear. I don't have the vac with me, darn it. Those reading are at max, high idle and after about five minutes of running. I pulled the camper about 20 miles and it would only work when not under a heavy pull. When stopped it would click on and off. After about a hour it would stay running and that's when I put the gauges on.

A little side note, I couldn't get the HS fitting on and was at a loss as to way. I finally figured it out, when I took the cap off the plug inside stayed in the valve and left a hole in the top of the cap. I used a needle point from a light tester, a little bit of light drilling and got it out. Then after I put the gauges away and walked back to the truck I heard it leaking. Put the gauges on again and took the picture. The first time I had them on the HS was up to 340 so I guess I have a blockage.

Thanks for your help Mike. Would that reading be OK because I was using high idle??

OK, thanks. After 205K its time for a overhaul.

What usually gets blocked, is it a little screen in there, seems like I read that?

Orifice tube could be stopped up but if it the orifice is stopped up that means debris came from somewhere.

The last one I seen clogged was cause of metal shavings coming out of the compressor
