Need some info on choosing D0VE heads.
I got a lead on some D0VE heads and would like to know if there is an exact casting I might want for a mostly stock shortblock built off a D9TE block with probably new piston to allow for a bore increase to clean things up. Just going to be a warmed up build with a Weiand intake, mild cam and headers. I don't mind running higher octane fuel since I work too much to drive a lot. I also don't work the truck too hard. It is a 79 F150 SC 2wd with a C6. I don't know what gears I'll end up with yet.
Since my friends 65 C10 that we stuffed a mostly stock 454 in is pretty quick, I want to rebuild my tired 460 a bit to make it keep up when we prowl around in the trucks.
Thanks a lot.

not really sure what you are asking, but all DOVE heads are the same no matter what. only thing is that most came with the thermactor ports drilled and some didn't. other then that all DOVE heads are the same valve sizes, port sizes, etc. no differences between any of the castings.
just try to find the cleanest set you can and check to make sure that the decks are reasonably flat and not all pitted and corroded at the water jackets.
