+1 on the Cilajet. We have it on my wife's Acadia and it performs really well. I really like it. I have yet to hand wax it and it is a 2010. Still looks like new. Shines and reflects really nicely. We keep it clean, but not excessively. I wish my truck had it to be honest. We used whatever the dealer recommended for the interior and it has held up as well. I don't recall what it was called...

i have a friend who is a super car snob and he has cilajet and swears its the most amazing stuff ever. and thats after him telling me that most finishes arent worth the container they come in. I REALLY REALLY want cilajet on my truck but the nearest dealer is over 100 miles away. where as the ford dealer im getting my truck from has LuxCare which makes very similar claims to cilajet but i cant find much information about the product. Up side to going with the LuxCare is I can likely get a deal on it or get it thrown into the package with the truck. On top of getting it while the truck is brand spankin new, and not have to drive a hundred miles each way.

I read somewhere that someone got the Extended Warranty from ford and got the dealer to throw in Line X and Cilajet with the deal. Thats something i would really be interested in.

That is likely a dealer that is close to both a Line-X and a Cilajet dealer...I don't see that happening around here. I had to drive 70 miles to get my bed sprayed...one way. STILL WORTH IT.

been doing some research and my dealer owns a shop in town that does auto accessories such as line x and tint and such... if i can work a line x deal and a luxcare deal and not have to shell out additional funds... that more money i can spend on FTE inspired upgrades

What about Zaino?

I've used this on my Vettes and Viper and it looks great.

I've never heard of Cilajet before. How good is this stuff?

Here is what I use/do now:

Clay Bar twice a year

Wolfgang Auto Bathe
Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer
Wolfgang Füzion Estate Wax
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant

I use a Porter Cable 7424XP with the Polish Enhancer and Wax.

I think it does a good job.

Cilajet is aviation grade paint sealer. Has a 10 year guarantee if i remember correctly. Is tested and approved by Boeing aerospace. Which means it has been scientifically proven.

10 year guarantee. I understand what you are saying, but I'm leery of this type of put it on and just forget about guarantee.

Now, I can guarantee you the type of work I do thru detailing on a weekly basis.

It might be 5 year. What it protects agains is stuff like bird droppings, acid rain, sap and such. To the point that if damage occurs they will repair, repaint or replace.

Jay Leno owns some of the rarest and most collectible cars in the world and he swears by the product.

I havr no affiliation with cilajet but am a fan based on its proven sucess and scientific research approved by Boeing

Thats correct. I contacted the company and they explained the multi stage process which is only done by trained authorized dealers. This is the only way they can guarantee the workmanship and honor any warranty claims.

Ive found mostly exotic car dealers offer the service.
