It won't work on my 96 reg cab, has anyone got it to work on an OBS Ford?

 

I just purchased a 2010 F-350 SD and can't find a way to decifer the vin. If Numbersdummy sees this I'd be greatful for the secret hadshake so I know what I bought.

The decoder here claims it's an invalad vin. Thanks for your help.

That truck should be a 155" wheelbase, which is a Supercab long bed.

 

thanks ,, not getting that truck ,, was pulled in to put alternator on and mechanic found oil in coolant so there looking for another 3/4 ton truck

 

Could just be a bad oil cooler. In fact thats probably the most likely problem.

 

could be ,, however I live in Fritch TX truck in Rawlings WY ,, and i would have to drive it back!! 700 mile drive is a big gamble ,, any one in wyoming wanting a 4x4 f250 supercab I'll give ya the name of the dealer !!

I'll make it easier for you. Your truck either has a Dana 44HD or a Dana 50. They are very easy to tell apart once you know what to look for.

This is a Dana 44 HD. Note how the hub body is much narrower than the opening the wheel sits on. The hub tapers out so the wheel fits:



This is a Dana 50. Note how the wheel opening is just slightly larger than the hub itself.
