I did one better. I made a video for y'all. I'm no expert so please let me know if anything in the video needs to be replaced by just looking at it.

looking isn't going to help you much.
did you do as suggested for checking for ball joint play?

at the same time your doing that.go ahead and check your wheel bearings for excessive play as well.
with the tire off the ground (and now with good tie rods) grab the wheel on each side, and shake in/out.-search for a your-tube vid may be best on how to check wheel bearings.
if you don't think they've ever been repacked, may just want to do that anyway now too.

looking at your first vid,
you have no idea how close you were to being in a very, very dangerous collision with such bad tie rods.very lucky the things didn't brake off on ya.could have sent ya into the ditch,or into oncoming traffic.yikes! lol.funny you didn't realize she was wondering all over the road way before they got so bad.

don't forget you can post and search for this type of stuff over here too, where engine type doesn't matter:

I'm more of an *** man myself.

You'll get a bit more life out of your tires if you swap them front to back, and vice versa. Not a ton, but it should help your steering a bit till you replace them all. (My truck likes to wear that way, and doing it every 5-10k keeps them even)

I'm flattered y'all want to see my **** and **** but the girlfriend would probably slap me for that. LOL!

I've been so busy lately getting ready for my trip to MA. I'm flying this time. Yeah, the old tie rods were pretty shot. The truck didn't wander but in the last few thousand miles, I noticed it wanted to steer to the right on its own. It still does but that could be the severely worn tires. When I get back, I will do all the tests and try to post a video if I can. I can't verify if the wheel bearings were ever re-packed. Would I be better off just replacing the bearings? If the ball joints aren't a complete nightmare, I might just do those as PM since I am sure they have not ever been replaced.

Ball joints.... Pay the money and get a ball joint puller/installer, I was jury rigging everything from impact sockets with extensions d44 hub nuts and a table mounted vice grip on them, hammers, not to mention the torch to get them out. Nearly mangled my knuckle with the sledge, definitely reformed it some. Oh and GREASE when you install the new ones, you will notice a difference and it will make the job much easier.

If yours is anything like mine, these are your two best friends.

my almost lost his face using a torch on ball joints. do it right and get a ball joint puller kit. it goes really fast with the right tool as well.

BTW, i am starting to wonder why you would offer to post pictures of yourself on the internet just for advice LOL.

Yeah, I like messing with y'all!

Autozone rents a ball joint press. I imagine that would work, right?

Eaton my tires are starting to look like your front ones too. I swear i test the ball joint on the thing and they check out fine. Pretty sure my pivot bushing are totally shot from what i can see.
