IPR/ICP/HPOP ?
I'm stumped as too what need to do next, I have 97 F-350 cleaned inj. and replaced inj. O rings and changed oil and filter, the oil psi gauge in dash doesn't work but had gauge(3000 psi) made for hpo, trucks starts and runs good but it take 20 seconds of cranking to build the 500 psi then fires right off and will maintain 700 psi at idle. I don't have a tag on truck so can't run down main road but run around house can floor for a litttle bit thru second or so and it seems to level out at 2200 psi maybe a little less, the problem is after get coolant temp up and run hard the psi wants to drop below or right at 500 and truck quits. After a 20/30 second crank will build 500 psi crank but hpo bounces around 500/550 rev and pressure increases then seems to go back to 700 psi. I can floor it in park and spike pasy 3000 psi also when unplug IPR truck quits, when unplugged ICP truck bogged down and replugged right away no change in engine. Unplugged ICP again and drove got same results, What next any suggestions greatly appreciated. Sorry such long post but tried to get as much info in as possible.

Sounds like you have air in the system...you need to go for a good ride...When you unplug the IPR it is supposed to stop...when you unplug the ICP the computer defaults to a value ( i forget what it is ) .....with 3000 psi I would say your HPOP is fine...How old is your engine oil ? Fresh oil does wonders for the truck....seafoam does not hurt either

^^2x sounds to me like you just have air in the HPO system. It can take a long time (up to 500 miles) to work all the air out of the system. It can be unnerving. Think about it though, you're trying to push the air out with oil that has anti-aeration agents in it. It just takes a while. Take it out and run it hard, I bet you get that air out!

if you can get your hands on a scan gauge that will monitor pids look at your icp and ipr while cranking, suspect if you have just changed the injector o rings and no damage was done to them going back in pretty hard to damage, that you might have a pump on its last leg or possibly a sticky ipr. if you are monitoring your ipr when cranking and it goes to 75% and holds and the icp is slowly climbing that is a bad sign that the pump is going
the hpop resovoir will fill in about 2-4 seconds after it starts cause there is a little bleed hole in the very top of the resovoir. if there is air trapped in the hpo system it will be in the heads. i ran mine hpop dry last time i changed my oil and started it and headed home and ran it as hard as i could and after 27 miles started it in the morning and it fired right off no long crank, but it can take a couple hundred miles to fully work all the air out.
your ipr when it is running should be at 10-14% cant remember if that is correct but sounds really close if it is higher then that then you have a hpo leak or the pump is not able to keep up, and the reason it only makes 2300 under load wot and then makes 3000 in park and throttle pined is do to the load on the engine the injectors use very little oil in park free reving compaired to it being under load

Thanks for replies, I drove her some today, she started at about 13 sec. this morning and didn't stall after reaching temp. and keep right at 700 psi hpo after repeated rabbit starts and even a tire smoking burnout or two. The only thing still has me a little concerned is after letting sit for 15 min or so had to crank what seemed a little long and psi cranking hung at 500 was running but not running if you khow what I mean. The old girl (298K) seems to be coming around, now to start cleaning up the interior, past life was a mobile home mover beater apparently.
