Hey if it isn't Diptstick!
Yes that would be correct.
glad everyone had a swell time yesterday. Sold my trailer today. still tryin to get those silly toolboxes sold. Got my fuel tank out (of Gert) late last night. Putzed around the garage and yard today.
Hey Tom, since you live in a fishbowl, do you know about fish tanks (or are they too big?)
Does anyone know of any discount codes for Bronco Graveyard? I need to order a plastic fuel tank, and it's cheapest (but still expensive) through them.

Just a little issue.
Yeah, probably leave it for now. We'll see, I have no intention of putting bigger tires on in the near future though. It may still come out.
Correct.

It did level out pretty good.
Just a little issue.
Thanks Jay.

I had a set of bigger tires. Sold them last fall, they were taking up shop floor space.

Another piece of this may be the rear end. The VSS is linked to it somehow. If the VSS is bad, the TC won't lock up. I'm pretty sure the VSS is good, but the speedo isn't 100% steady. At about 70, it'll drop 3-4mph once in a while.
What do I need to do a drain/fill of the rear end? Anything I should be looking for when I do it?

Probably.
The other tires I had were 20", and HEAVY and wide. I went with the 285's because they were a steal of a deal. It does tow a little better with these on it, but I'd still like to find a set of highway tread tires for summer use.
Do you remember the codes you were getting from yesterday?
Should need about 4 quarts of 75/140 synthetic gear oil and some silicone to seal the cover back up when done.
Remove the cover, drain, clean all the oil out of the diff. Inspect the gears for any chips in them. Silicone cover back on and let it sit for a day or so to cure, refill with oil.

Nah ... the piston is part of the Torque Converter. From what I've read, it isn't replaceable without rebuilding the entire Torque Converter.

Another problem with our OBS is the PSOM (programed speedometer odometer module ) located on the back of the cluster. When that goes, usually intermittent, the transmission has no idea what to do. The transmission will slip a lot and will slam shifts and be inconsistent. Creates lots of heat also. I had to buy a used cluster to fix mine

Never did get any codes from the tranny yesterday. Nothing from the VSS either. There were a couple of ending codes, but don't remember what they were. Nothing came up on Dave's tool while driving yesterday. Frustrating part is that I was beating the **** out of it trying to set some kinds of code.
