Okay I somehow got deleted out of this thread. I need to look through the photos and see how I can help. My current idea for you is to research online the size of the HVAC system out of the Taurus SHO with Ecoboost, also look into their throttle by wire/pedal adjustment system. I am inclined to think both would be smaller. Well at least the HVAC would be smaller. I know the HVAC system on my 97-03 Expedition had enough power to cool a 1500 sf home and that system was probably in the F150 regular cab truck as well.

Been watching this build Randy. Keep up the good work. Don't give up. I see above Vic was bragging on our weather a little bit. Don't let him fool you, that only lasted for three days. Been raining here since Sunday afternoon. Finally got my '61 Galaxie road worthy during our 3-day summer. Now to re-install the 6-speed in my Super Duty after clutch and input shaft replacement. One of these days I'll have to talk my wife into going to see her sister (lives in Goodyear) so I can come hang out at your place.

Hey Jeff lost in the 50s was a howl. If you want to see all the pics and I mean all check in the washington state form under groups and the thread potential G2G Micah (ImtoTall) has a link to his photograph expose of the meet. Tons of pics thats one car show I will try to make every year from now on. Ill bring the truck by one of these days sporting the wheels and tire it runs down the road at 60+ just fine.

Just skimmed through all the posts. All i can say is you have way more ***** than me to take on something of this nature. I sorta helped a friend of mine put a V-10 in a 99 F250 light duty (f150 body) and the wiring on that about made me sick let alone what you are doing. I think it is an awesome project though and definitely don't give up.

One thing going clear back to the first initial plans was the use of the air bag systems. Personally i would not do this out of safety. The entire 2011 cab was designed with the forces caused by these airbags taken into account. When these air bags go off the cab is most likely designed to distribute the stress and most likely yield/deform in specific areas in order to protect the passengers/driver. The 66 cab has none of this design and my fear is that by using the air bags with the older cab a condition might exist that if the air bags were to go off they might seriously injure the driver. You also mentioned using the stock bench seat, with a seat like that and air bags there will be nothing to stop your head from slamming into the hard cold metal of the back of the cab when the air bag hits you. Maybe im paranoid but i wouldn't add air bags to a cab that was not designed with them in mind but then again im only 21 and still working on my mechanical engineering degree so im probably just blowing smoke.

keep plugging away at this project because it is really inspiring and basically one of the coolest projects ive seen in a while. May luck be with you.

Nice! I wanted to make it to Sandpoint but I wasn't gutsy enough since I finished installing a rebuilt power steering control valve and seatbelts in the Galaxie at 4AM Saturday morning. I had never driven the car on the street prior to Saturday. Instead I took the kids downtown to check out Cruizin The Falls. That way we'd be close in case Momma had to rescue us. After cruising around town a bit though, I think she would have made it to Idaho. Next year!

Could not handle that every day anymore. Hot here now with temps around 100deg and have had 108deg so far. Usually decent thru june then July ~ Sept get a bit hot, but the rest of year makes up for it.

What is in the car for Power?

Most of my work is outside so have not touched the "eco" project in over a month now. Gotta shovel out the garage to make room. Wish I had a shop the size you have . . . Have tools and equip that just sits outside in the weather. Prob should have built a garage before starting another project . . . LOL

Please do stop by if you are in town!

The Sandpoint show is really a great one.

I got a "Best Muscle Car" award there a couple years ago.

Beautiful 70 Randy, the '61 is 352 powered backed by a Toploader 4-speed. Is that 70 a Boss 429 car?

Good to see you back on forum! Of course I still have the radio its going in my orange/white truck. Its been sitting on front seat since I got it from you.
Moving 3 times with all my junk/stuff in a really short period of time really thru me for a loop. I do not have proper garage to finish up the painting although would like to fire it up as I need to build headers for it then its ready to fire for first time. Just sitting here collecting dust! Shame really, then I got interested in the EcoBoost project and got completely side tracked.

Seems like for the past month I have not been able to work on my own projects. Its going to take me a while to adjust to the "Heat" again. Shop is too small to do much in so its working outside in the heat. Just do not have the funds to build that dream garage. I have considered selling off a few of my old trucks to do so but will never be able to replace them.

Kinda wishin' I would have kept it but sold it a month or so ago for a measly
6grand! New M11 engine, rebuilt trans, new clutch, new turbo & Jake Brake and that was my best offer. I used the funds for needed things around the house and to get rolling on the eco project. Put a bit aside for headers for the 427 truck as thats all I have left to get it up and running. When the outside temps start hitting 105-108 it really slows things down as most everything is done outside with no shade. Last pics of Freightliner before it went away

I still have the 53' trailer tho as need the storage until I can build a shop, problem is I need to have $$ from trailer to build a shop . . . So for now just going with the flow.
