hahaa sooo weird.

just changed my GPR put in a echlin(NAPA) GPR-109 fired it up and now the truck wont shut off, key turns off and gauges power down but truck stays running.

what did i do wrong? mixed up the wires maybe?

The #2 relay in the distribution box under the hood is for the IDM, unplug it.

As long as you put the big wires on the big terminals and the small on small there's no way to wire the GPR wrong. I wonder if NAPA had the wrong relay in the GPR109 box? If you remove the new relay does the truck start and stop like it's supposed to?

They gave you the wrong one. Most relays (like the starter relay on the right fender) are grounded through the case and mounting screw. The GPR relay is isolated from the ground and the ground is supplied by the PCM through one of the small wires.

sure enough that was my issue!!

one of the terminal ends had a bare spot on the bottom which was just so touching another wire, looks like i may have clamped it down on top of the other one, or the previous owner did, probably me though. So the new GPR works fine, but we will see how good in the morning when its cold...im excited as i hope it fixes my long white smoke starts

thanks everyone for the help!!

last question, while in there i noticed a hose at the very bottom of the fuel bowl was not attached to its nipple which is a attached to a long black plastic thing running up the side of the bowl externally, (Passenger side)

i never hooked it back up(which i think i should?) i just want to know what it is ahead of time.

Thanks.
Dustin

Does it run up to a yellow lever? Sounds like the drain valve for the fuel bowl,

Turn the yellow lever 90* from its current position. Without the drain hose and pipe hooked up a mess will ensue fyi.
