got dtc p1299, p0301, p0308 got any advice?
i have a 2001 250 sd with the 5.4 and 250k miles. its got codes p1299: cyl. overheat prtect. p0301 and p0308: cyl 1 and 8 misfire. im wondering if they are all related i know that if that CHT sensor is damaged or faulty it will affect fuel timing which would be the result of the misfires correct ? now the truck also doesnt blow hot air so thats got me thinking maybe the cooling system is plugged up somewhere. this truck has also blown 3 spark plugs. has anyone had any experience with this problem that can lead me in the right direction or have a circuit description for that sensor so i can backprobe and make sure its good/bad. thank you in advance for all suggestions and comments.

thanks for the response miller_feed...i have some updates...hot air is blowing through the vents it just takes a while to get warm also i hooked up my scan tool and the ect wasnt going past 200 degrees it stayed at 194 at idle and i let it idle for about 20 minutes...hey miller_feed by bump back to the top are you referring to the CHT sensor?
