Radiator question

I have a question, as I havent bothered to pay any attention to this until a few days ago over coffee.
A friend asked me if all 6.4 rad issues were on 2008 trucks, or were there still problems with 2009/2010 trucks as well??

accross the board. Same radiator for all.

Note...there have been a couple of the issues with the 2011's as well.

Don't think they use the same radiator but the same manufactoring method.

Senix, question for you. I have read all the posts on the radiator issues and after printing and reading them several times I am still confused as to the final decision. Is the radiator covered under warrenty (3 years 36000/5 years 100,000 mile). I not exactly sure. Any clarification?

Currently 3 yrs/36K miles unless you have some other warranty that will cover it.

Or my dealer just said if they run the codes, and it shows faulty thermostat they will cover new radiator under PowerTrain warranty.

Just picked my truck up this afternoon and paid $1250 for new radiator and installation. Of course they said mine wasn't caused by thermostat!

Call Ford directly if you have this problem, and try bitching to them. 800-392-3673

Yes...where they used to pull the thermostats to check now they don't unless they get a code.

Am I the only one who thinks it sucks when the substandard part gets replaced by the same substandard part until warranty lapses, then the consumer can buy more substandard parts?
Why not deal with this in an upstanding manner FORD???
If there isnt enough corporate desire (which means it probably is cheaper to let things run its course and throw rads into them that only cost Ford a few bucks to produce until warrany runs out), then they should replace them either until there is an improvement, or forever!
