It's been a while

So...Hi all of you who remember me. What's up?

I've been missing for a long time. I don't even recognize half of the names on here! What's everyone been up to?

I've been busy. I work too much. Truck got some upgrades recently in the form of a Terminator T-500, Stage 1 injectors, BTS Valvebody, Cale's tunes...new mirrors, new lights...trying like hell to blow up Platinum Pete's old '01 turbo....

In one of the photos...is that the newer style injector cup removal tool? If so, looks like it functions with the rockers in place still. Did it work out well? (I hadn't seen one of those tools before...)

Thanks for the info...

Hey, Lisa! Long time, no see!

Looks like you've been real busy spending time and money!

Making ricers breathe black air?

With new cups, did you go to ELC?

Thanks for the info...
For more specific details on the tool, you'd have to ask Rockin S' Performance. I was able to use Rocky's shop and all of his tools for all of this work, as well as Rocky's knowledge... The tool itself is kind of like a tap. It "screws" into the sleeve for lack of a better word, putting pressure on the sides of the sleeve. Rocky then had modified a breaker bar type tool to pull them out. It was pretty slick.

Cales tunes are nice..I like the shift points... but the stock turbo isn't equipped to handle the higher horse tunes with the bigger injectors, 110 and 140 IIRC. I run around in 90 econo because I see that turbo dying a slow death with as quickly as the truck spikes it to 27 lbs of boost.

Time, yes...did all of that in a weekend. I almost died I think. Money...yes. But between Clay and Rocky I was able to survive it!

It'll blow black for sure, especially when I lay on it....a little more than I'd like, though, with the realization that I'm on borrowed time with my transmission. The sleeves are Ford. I didn't know I was going to need them until I pulled the injectors and found antifreeze...after 240,000, all of the cups on the driver's side head were cracked and seeping.

On the coolant, I kept the green stuff for now..especially since a bit of oil gets in and mixes with the coolant during the sleeve removal process..I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on new coolant only to have to change it out again. I might switch soon, we shall see.

What have I been up to? Sold the early '99 to my nephew last Sept. and bought a '01 crew cab dually that ended up with more issues than I care to mention.
Btw, welcome back.
