Who in the SE needs a tow to BTS in a couple weeks??

I'm gonna go rescue my Excursion from KS soon and will be dragging an empty trailer out there to get it. Know somebody in FL, AL, GA, NC, TN, etc that needs a ride out to BTS??

The kids are on spring break 4/2 - 4/6, so I'm hoping we can go that week - departing GA on 3/31??

Since my junk runs on WVO, the fuel cost for this trip will be insignificant - so this IS the deal you've been looking for!! Its not the first time I've hauled a truck to BTS for the brotherhood , references upon request. Lol!

I'll call Brian tomorow and let them know as well.

Great offer Jason, didn't know you still hadn't got the excursion back. I'll probably be going to get my camper in Argonia that week(end). Since I'm close to BTS as well, if you end up making the trip for someone, I'll try to meet up with you guys there.

Hey Jason.

Good offer to haul someone to BTS. Seems like we both have that in common.

That sure would save someone a bunch of money.

REPS sent. By the way, you might want to call Brian and ask him if he knows of anyone needing to get their truck to him.

Good offer Jason. Did you guys see in Disel Power how a guy pu the 5R100 in his I believe 01 7.3 . That would be the set up. Hopefully BTS can start doing the upgrade.
Also there a repair kit now for the dip stick of are motors so you don't have to remove the engine.

-Is the 5R100 the later "Torqueshift" trans? Is it from a 6.0 or 6.4?? IF Brian is able to do this it might take business away from his 4R100s......

Been off all day. I don't know if Brain can do this yet. I believe its out of the 6.0 but Brian builds these to. I'm sure they are bullet proof. I think the later ones are 5R110, beefed up for 6.4 & 6.7. It would be a tuning thing, I'm not sure on adpter plate or not. Get Diesel Power its in there.

Unless something changes, we are leavin' on Sat AM. We'll pass thru Chattanooga, Nashville, St. Louis, Kansas City and finally Wichita. Drop me a line and we'll let ya buy us lunch if we are driving by you!!

It looks like after this trip, I'll be headed to my next job - in Tacoma, WA or maybe Richmond, CA... Actually all the work is supposed to be on the left coast the rest of this year.

I work in large, aboveground steel fuel tanks (typically 60-100ft diameter and about 40ft tall). The places I've been working lately are where the trucks that bring gas/diesel to the gas station fill up, but I've worked at lots of power plants, refineries and other industrial facilities over the years... Basically, its my job to make sure we don't need you (fire/rescue) while cleaning, inspecting and repairing these tanks.

When it's time to make hay, you make hay.
I've been stuck in NC for a while, cant wait to leave here, just 4 more weeks to go....
My next orders have me returning to my second favorite state...Texas. If we cross paths Jason, you know I'll buy dinner.
As for the 5R100 behind a 7.3, I don't know how true that is, I asked Brian about that when I was there and he basically said it would be a waist of time since the final gearing would be the same. The extra gear wouldn't benefit you much. HOWEVER... he has put a 4R100 behind a 6.0
So I'm guessing "his" 4R is still stronger than a built 5R. Unless there is another reason for him doing such
