F-Series Appreciation Day

For the second year in a row a large group of friends and I are planning a day to debut our F-Series trucks. We are planning for Saturday May 9th for the event which comprises of a show and shine, lunch, a long drive to a scenic spot, a photo shoot of the rigs and then possibly a little off-loading on the way back to town.

Last year was the first time we were able to make this event possible and we had 6 OBS style Fords and this year we may be looking at having at least 15 trucks join in. We host the event out of Corvallis since most of us are OSU students as well as this is where we first started the event.

I wanted to see if I could get a dealer sponsor or another form support for the event. Does anyone have any suggestions of an interested party?

I have a buddy who works at Wilson Motors, but he doesn't have much pull there so he probably couldn't help much.

I'm interested in participating though!

You could message me and we can see where to go from there. I called Wilson Motors today and the person I spoke to probably didn't understand what we are trying to do because he felt they couldn't help.

I think I'll post a couple of pictures from last year.

Here's a picture of the entire line-up of trucks we had last year. They are all between 94 and 96 with four f350's, two f250's and a f150.

Last year we only cruised up to Burgerville in Monmouth for lunch and stopped at a gravel pit just past the game Management area for pictures. We couldn't travel to far because most of us were helping out for event that evening.

It has always been a hope to at least go up Mary's Peak for some amazing pictures with the trucks.

I am always open for suggestions of a place with better 'scenery'.

Mary's peak is nice... I always loved going up there in the snow with my '75 F150

There may not be too much snow up there in beginning of June but the snow would make for some amazing shots (even if it's a little dirty).

Anyone else have good ideas of dealers, truck shops or aftermarket companies to pursue for some sort of sponsorship to the event? Anywhere locally would be good, even someone from as far as Portland or Eugene would be good.

Have you tried Roberson Ford in Albany? I might be able to get some support from Al Hutchinson, I'm friends with his wife and her family...

Or the Pro-Line truck accesory shop in Albany on Queen.

Send me an email with exactly what you're trying to get and I'll see if I can fidn someone.

I want to say thanks to everyone for the advice on sponsors, especially Old93junk because Kendall Ford is now sponsoring us with some goodies for the event! I am going to be around this weekend talking to other companies to see if I can drum up some more support.
