Double wow, I have to check in at Amigos more often.....it`s been a while since I was there last.
I need a seat for my 69 Ranger F100 and ones from a newer XLT bolt in very nicely with minimal changes.
I got it home and tore it down to find out why it's seized. As long as the cylinder wall isn't collapsed I'm a happy trucker.
.
I believe it is the #3 cylinder that is the problem. as you can see it water has got in and it's rusted solid. It can be rebuilt. I'm happy. Lots of other treasure out there, gentlemen, just waiting to be discovered. Lots of Ford trucks.
Nice, looks like a Torino wagon in the background.
Good eye there! Bummer on the FE but it can be saved.
From what I can see of it it sure looks like a Torino Squire Wagon, now if it was a 70-71 Ranchero GT I`d really be stroked!

I knew it was seized when I bought it, but I took a chance that it was seized from sitting out in the rain with the hood open and air cleaner off. I was right.
Here is a Ranchero for sale in Colorado. Not that far of drive to go get it...
I don't have anything for to go into, yet, but I'll find something. I purchased a 390 4V at Amigo's 8 years ago, had it rebuilt and put it into my 68 F100. Maybe this will be a spare or perhaps I'll stroke it and add aluminum heads. That might be a waste, though, because the ridge on the cylinders is barely detectable and the heads look good. Hard to say what I'll do with it, but it's in my garage and possiblities are there.
This is the 1967 Galaxie 500 XL that I got my 68 F100 engine from(t's still out at Amigo's):

The 390`s are getting hard to find so it`s still a good score.
It`s hard to say what the reserve is on the 70 and I`d prefer one without the wood grain. The was a local one for sale with a 460 stroker that was listed for about $12,000, it was a real bargain.
