New Truck

Just traded in my 03 F-350 for this new 2012 EB, seeing bad things listed on here. Hope I did not make a mistake because I love the truck and motor so far.

You will see an inordinate amount of bad things listed here because people come here looking for answers when something goes wrong. if I had the cash, I'd make virtually the same mistake you made

FYI- I can tell you those F150 ecoboost's are a nice truck,

I went from a F250 Lariat with a diesel to a FX4 with ECO, no regrets

Yes oil change is a pain, although I don't have to buy 15 qts every time I change my oil anymore

I read another post the other day that said most people on these forums are here to
Bitch
Bragg
or Learn

Have Fun wih your AWESOME Truck

Congrats on your rig! I made the same mistake you made a few months ago and I'd make it again.

There are a couple of panels under the truck that need to be removed to gain access to the filter and the drain plug.

Happy motoring!

I most probably will be making the same "mistake" you made in a year or two. I've got to get a few more miles on my 06 so I can make the case with the treasurer. I'm hoping to see some lease returns then.

Towed for the first time today with my snowmobile trailer. Truck wasn't even working, power is impressive for a V6.

From the looks of this picture the panels are not essential... Anybody know more about this?

Brandon --- I'm thinking the under panels are to smooth out the air...and offer better MPG's.

Yeah, I too made the "mistake" and I really like it! I don't even care if it has issues...knocking on wood now...cause squeezing the throttle is a hoot! The mileage is not fantastically low but it isn't any worse than other trucks and did I mention squeezing the throttle? I agree about the panels under there too, clean airflow makes for better mileage.

I made the same "mistake" and traded in my 2010 F250 for the 2012 F150 Ecoboost and couldn't be happier although I think I spend the same on fuel because I've been using it for a lot more trips on the weekend.

People posting bad things on the internet reminds me, right before I had lumbar fusion surgery in 1999, told the doc everything I read on the internet about the surgery is bad.
He told me why would people with successful surgery be posting on the internet.
13 years later never had a problem and I never posted on the internet how successful it was.

Take it with a grain of salt what you read on the internet.

Now that's about the best advise that I'll read all day.

Bat, what does your icon picture say? I clicked on it bat that resulted in a smaller picture of course... The features on FTE leave a lot to be desired.
