Ok I searched like crazy to find some help on getting that little ******* bolt back in with no luck. After much trial and error I found the easy solution. Get a small 1/4 inch socket wrench with the 2 inch extension and a short 1/2 inch socket. Get the bolt started by hand. Once started put the socket wrench on the bolt with the handle back behind the valve cover between the fire wall. The handle will be pointed up, perpendicular to the heads. I tried forever with the handle pointing towards the front parallel to the heads and with the handle pointed down. Do it the first way I described and that little ******* will go right in.
on a different note....when i took the covers off there was no bolt back there so i had to go find/buy one. guess the last person to have them off wasn't patient enough and said to hell with it.
Here's a trick I use to keep a bolt in a socket when trying to get it started in a hard to reach spot.
Blue masking tape stuck to bolt head holds it in the socket. I've also done this to keep a nut in a socket.
