A front-tilt would certainly fix the problem, Albuq. At this point I'm not ready to go to that expense to fix such a minor issue, although I won't rule it out completely. Jim, we are close neighbors -- I'm right off of Farmway on your side of Caldwell. We should hook up & compare projects. My F1 is a half-breed. The frame, suspension & drive train is stock 1974 J**p Cherokee 4WD powered by an early Ford 302 engine. This truck is a nostalgia trip for me. I learned to drive in my Dad's 47 Ford Pickup & my first car was a well-used 1936 Ford sedan. I'm an old car/motorcycle nut but can't take credit for building this one. The original owner built it some years ago & sold it due to limited storage space & other projects. He had it in storage for a long time & I've spent the past couple months going over every nut&bolt to get it roadworthy & upgrade a few things. I think it would take more mods than I want to make to retrofit stock hood springs, but I would like to see them just to confirm that. Thanks again for the comments/suggestions.
