Just wanted to post a buyer beware. I bought a smoked LED 3rd brake light from "P.S.Team" on eBay and just got it in the mail yesterday and it was total junk. The whole thing was covered in clear silicon glue, the lense was installed crooked on the base, and the "chrome" plastic was flaking off the base. I sent him an email, and I got an appoligy and I he told me he would process a refund becasue if he sent another one it would likely happen again. It seemed like 90% of the smoked 3rd brake lights are made by the same place, and probably even are drop shipped from the same warehouse.

I just wanted to post a heads up to anyone intersted in picking one up..

The recon ones are nice, i have had one on my truck for almost a year now. No complaints

 

I tried a cheap ebay light and like you I found it was junk so I replaced it with a Recon and found it to be excellent quality..

 

I just ordered a used Recon smoked 3rd brake light for $60, they said it is like new, they were just unhappy with how bright the bed lights are. I have seen negative reviews about this in several places. Well I dont use bed lights in the first place so I am not worried about it...

Now it will match the cab lights I have yet to install, plus you cant beat $60

Two years here... and it's the second truck it's seen.

 

I think my Recon unit is brighter than the stock unit was.

 

Mine is bright too but very directional. Doesn't really light the bed up. And I got mine for like $65 new on amazon

 

hard to beat amazons prices..

 

Amazon is good for most people but not for me, since their head office and warehouse is just 1 city over it forces me to pay sales tax on everything, it does make shipping fast though haha
