Farewell Pre-Power Stroke forum

I've listed my 1985 F-250 for sale today. I got the new truck so it's time to let this one go.

I have no idea what the market is like right now, but if a month goes by and I don't have any takers, I may part it out and then haul the body to scrap. I hate to do that cuz it runs right now, but I don't want to sit on it.

I am posting this here, because if I do part it out, I'd let y'all in this forum have first shots at getting parts off it. Shoot me a PM if you'd be interested in a certain part, or if you'd maybe want the entire truck. Truck picture is in my garage here. I'll answer any questions y'all have.

CL listing is here: 1985 F-250 6.9 Diesel 2wd

Well, you'll just have to hurry up and move down here then!

Nice looking truck and the price is right. You might want to list what kind of tranny it has.

I would be interested but I recently bought my 300SD, so I don't have extra cash for another project right now.

I only live about 45 minutes away from you, Tim. Even funnier is we have the same first name.

Well, if I bought it you know I would wind up doing something to it. Tim even said it needs a few things. It sounds like a good truck that he took care of, though.

Blasphemey!

But seriously, even if I didn't have snow and mud to deal with I don't think I could drive a pickup that doesn't have a differetial up front. I've passed up many a bargain because they were two wheel drive.

Yep! I find myself grabbing that extra stick just as much to use the low range as the 4x4. It's so much easier to back up 25,000lb with a little reduction.

You guys really don't help my bank accounts, you know! Now I'm thinking about a new home for my ATS 088 in Tim's truck. It seems like a good price for the truck. I don't know, maybe I'm just dreaming.

Maybe if I had vacation time left. I haven't been to Washington state yet. I don't know, I'm still thinking.
