are new spindles avialable
Hey guys. I have a straight I-beam 2wd axle out of a 64 that im going to rebuild for my 59. It is missing one side from the backing plate out. The spindle is still there but a couple of the threads are messed up so i was thinking of just putting new spindles on it. I can't seem to find new spindles just looking around on Google. It seems to me that this should be a part that is available (it doesn't seem like it would wear out readily but it could eventually) but i can't seem to find much info. So can one get new spindles for the 2wd straight axles or are those parts obsolete?? Thanks

yea i have been looking around but haven't found anything. It is only the last 2-3 threads (closest to the inside of the axle) so they may not even be needed and i might be able to run a die down it and clean it up ok. I guess if i decide i do need spindles its going to be a junkyard scrounge proposition.
