how come only the upper hold down bolt is mentioned when tightening up under the vc.
or did i miss something in those threads? i think even in the colored picture that has the rocker arm bolts and injector hold down bolts circled, there is only one. maybe i'm wrong, i'll try to find it. i plan on doing this soon.

I just did the retorque under vc and I only seen one hold down bolt for injector but there is the injector oil spouts bolt on the top side of injector. And I think there is a bolt under for injectors under the injector. I am not sure since I have yet to pull my injectors.
Chunder I think it would be best to like Wes/ 429F100 said and just replace all bolts. Better safe than sorry

For the retorque you can't get to the upper bolt, it's partially under the injector. The injector hold down flange has an oblong teardrop shape that allows you to slide the flange up(towards the intake) and lift. You can retorque it without the injector in though.

Some break them off, some overtorque and stretch them, some do it as preventive measures. Not sure in Brian's case.
