how come only the upper hold down bolt is mentioned when tightening up under the vc.
or did i miss something in those threads? i think even in the colored picture that has the rocker arm bolts and injector hold down bolts circled, there is only one. maybe i'm wrong, i'll try to find it. i plan on doing this soon.

Chunder I think it would be best to like Wes/ 429F100 said and just replace all bolts. Better safe than sorry

Some break them off, some overtorque and stretch them, some do it as preventive measures. Not sure in Brian's case.

[quote=BigAlsPSD;11573187]For the retorque you can't get to the upper bolt, it's partially under the injector. The injector hold down flange has an oblong teardrop shape that allows you to slide the flange up(towards the intake) and lift. You can retorque it without the injector in though.
all you have to do is remove the oil squirter tube one bolt and you can get to it i would check it also .
