Ex rear spring swap, need YOUR opinions

Ok, so i'm swapping out the tired stock springs on my Ex and i need your input on rear units. The most common swap in V/B. I picked up some low mileage V's on CL for cheap, but i've been striking out on B's for the rear. Been on CL forever and tried all the local bone yards, only found some units far away and shipping's gotta be a killer with the size and weight of these things.

Have any of you replaced your stock springs with aftermarket units such as these: 43-1263 Leaf Spring Assembly this place is like 10 minutes from where i work. I was considering using a modded version of these, similar to how the "modded B-codes" are constructed.

FYI, i'm not looking to lift my truck or anything, so lift kits and such are not what i'm looking for. I know i'll gain around 2 inches from the SD spring swap but i wont have to replace anything else to make it right (Adj track bar, etc). Basically i'd like to eliminate some of the wandering and after seeing other Ex's with similar SD spring swaps, i'm certain that i'm on the right path, but i'm uncertain about using aftermarket units. Has anyone here used these or something similar?

Have you looked at a pair of "C" codes?

I've got them on my F-250 and the ride is decent. Add the weight of your X ontop of them and I think the ride would be pretty good. They're rated higher than the B's, and I figure are pretty simar to the modded B's

I've shyed away from C's because of the Ex owners reporting that they make the truck ride like an empty dump truck. I have no idea what a truck would ride like with them. I guess it can't really be that bad because Ford puts them on alot of trucks and people bought them... I suppose i could call a few of the local yards to see if what they have are C's.

It does ride, well like a truck. But put 500 lbs in bed and it smooths out very nice

I think the extra weight of your rear area would be equivalent.

Either way, if price was right, C codes might tide you over until that pair of B codes come along

Called around to some local places and still no luck. A's and S's are all i could locate. I can't justify $200+ per spring for oem from th dealer. Modded aftermarket units are looking more and more like an option. I cant believe no one's used aftermarket springs on their SD truck.
