Like I mentioned before, go out and measure eye to eye and then choose from the table. Its that easy. Mine were for a stock height 350.

Also 5125 use 1/2" bolt holes. The stock bolts are smaller metric. I drilled the mounts to 1/2" and got new bolts.4 years later and I am still pleased with mine.

I wanted to follow up as its next to impossible to find anyone out thee who will give you a part number for a set of 5100s for a stock height f350, or 250 for that matter. I have had quite a few PMs about it and couldn't answer it either. Couldn't find anything on the net ... I did not find a PN chart with lengths and valving for the 5100s, so we are going with 5125s because I found one, and they are rebuildable.

here is the link to the chart and a JPG to keep here http://www.bilsteinus.com/uploads/tx...cations_01.pdf

The stock advertised 4700 B6 bilsteins lengths were posted on the net as follows:

Internal Design: Monotube
Collapsed Length: 14.21 in / 361 mm
Extended Length: 22.68 in / 576 mm

I went out and measure eye to eye on my truck that is all stock minus bags in the back and an add a leaf up front to compensate a 600lb bumper. Dead nuts on at 18". I was surprised this is pretty perfect in the middle of the stroke with about 4" on either side. I was wondering since these are not high flex strucks if I should try to set a 60/40 balance on sag/ compression vs a 50/50????

For now I am going to go with the 33-185606s with 8.5" of travel and measure 14.06" compressed and 22.5" extended with 255/70 valving as I like a stiff shock...

So I hope that helps a few guys out when choosing a shock. If someone can get a 5100 sheet up that would be slick!

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsn-33-185606 Interestingly summit labels them as a 5100 series shock... oh well they were only 10$ more than the 4600s I bought.

If I remember correctly the holes on the shock mounts will need to slightly be reemed to accept the proper size bolt.
Lots of good info here. I've been looking for 5100s too, but found this chart for 5125s. My rig with D60, RSK, and SD springs sits right at 20.5". With no shock the axle drops to 24.5"; the most I could get it to compress was about an inch to 19.5". I'm sure a hard bump would compress it more. So with that, I'm looking at the 33-185552 (15.91" - 25.93").

I was also looking at the the 5100s for an SD and found the 33-185545 for 4-6" lift, but has the same range (15.96" - 26.02"). You guys have any thoughts? 5100s or 5125s?

So I bought and just installed the 33-185552's. I needed new shocks because one broke a couple weeks ago. I just pulled the other one off and it ranges about 14 - 23". So with 24.5" of drop, the shock was holding part of the axle weight everytime I lifted the truck or fully extended over a bump. Probably why one finally separated. We shall see how the Bilsteins ride in the morning.

The 4600s are all that Bilstein specs as OE replacement. You just have to do some research to find some 5100s or 5125s that fit and then drill your shock mounts for 1/2" bolts. The table above is very helpful for finding 5125s.
