Tired of blowing coolant steam outta my exhaust so the EGR cooler was replaced with a Bullet Proof version and a new oil cooler was installed, along with the hard line turbo oil feed line to replace the flex line.

I was waiting for my 7.3L Excursion to get new injectors installed (thought I split a tip) before doing surgery on the 6.0, but we discovered the Excursion needs a new engine, so I bumped the 250 to the front of the line

Now, I'll probably keep the 6.0 as my standby truck when it's replaced as the primary work truck in the future.

**** a Precision hub. All three that I used failed within a year despite regular maintenance and greasing. One almost took me and my rig with it when it seized on I-45 with 8k in tow. Timken/OEM or bust, in every literal sense

ive had pretty good luck with my precision hubs without greasing them... OEM i had to have replaced 3 different times by the dealer... ive had more problems with the Timken hubs on the stang than i have with the precision ones on the truck...

Got the tall BPD air cooled oil cooler, BPD EGR cooler, ARP head studs, BPD billet water pump, upgraded fan clutch, and all the weak links in this motor fixed including 2 new injectors and 8 new glow plugs, changed the intercooler pipe to the metal one and BPD 6 phase FICM. Bed plate sealed up and a host of other bulletproofing done. I think I'm good to go for a long while except for oil changes and fuel filter changes.

my 6.0 did this strange surging sitting at a stop light this morning. went from normal idle up to about 900 rpms every couple seconds. never done that before. then when taking off, it was kinda low on power, but only until it shifted into second gear. then it was a rocket ship again. didn't do it again for the rest of the morning.

When I first bought my truck it was doing that, for quite some time. I was set to have Ford-Doc (another forum) check it out but instead used our IDS to run through the system check, which showed nothing. However, after doing the reset the motor never surged again.
