One less thing to be concerned about. That's a good thing.

I still have the other head to check, but it’s on the motor doing P-V checks. I really wasn't expecting wear issues at 70k, but the level of pitting of the exhaust faces did.

The very first location I checked was cylinder 8 with the lifter issue.

got the "sensors" wired into the truck today... essh that was a nightmare to do... now i just need to make a mounting bracket for the gauge pod and then i can put the pod in the truck and plug the gauges into the sensors... also discovered i need to get a new turbo to intake tubing boot... saw they make one 3" long... the one i have is 2.5" long and comes up a little short on the new turbo...

Failed the annual inspection last week so had to get the bed rails replaced - completely rotten. Took it to the local agricultural workshop which was quite amusing - got a strange look when I asked in my best French if they could repair my car. The foreman just looked at me and i said but it's a big car. They did a great job, cleaned and painted the chassis as well, and the steel they used will probably last longer than the rest of the truck.
Tester took less than5 seconds to ok the work.
Followed it up by replacing the expansion tank and all the hoses the ferrets had been testing their teeth on, hopefully no more leaking.

Well I managed to sell my extra rear bumper and the extra tailgate I had from when I went to Idaho and picked up the bed that went onto my truck.
Now if only I could sell the bed. You would think that $400 for a work truck bed would work. So far no bites on that. If the bed is still here in three
more weeks I can see it having a date with the plasma torch.

I don't recall anything about getting paid for it.
I want the space back.

A few years ago I took a load of scrap and got $100+ for it. A month ago I took scrap and got $25. Yeah, just getting rid of it to clear space out is worth the hassle of making a mere $25.
