That was true for my wifes 1966 Mustang she bought new. Parked on the street, business parking lots, at a stop light or sign.

The turbo vanes. You said they were smaller. So I called them little bits.

If you have a stock one to put next to one of the new ones that might be worth seeing also.
Does the unison ring seem to be the same also?

my brothers car has had 6 different bumpers on it already... first time it was hit he hadnt even made the first payment yet on it... took it to work the first time and a box truck backed into the front left corner... took it to the gym.. had just left and was waiting for the light to change... girl came up behind him and never touched the brakes... slammed into the back end and shoved him under the pickup he was sitting behind... (only reason he didnt have to pay was because someone at the gym saw the whole thing so everything was placed squarely on the lady that hit him.... ) picked it up from the body shop for that time and on the way home a deer ran into the same fender the truck backed into him.. tore up that fender again and the drivers door... another car hit him in the back end again a few months later....

moms suv was about the same way.. every time wed get it outta the body shop it was getting hit again...

What are your plans for the old turbo?
If your going to junk it I would be happy to pay the shipping and take it off your hands.
I ned the bolts from the compressor side. Some of mine for the spare grew legs and
went for a hike and got lost in the wilderness I call a garage...

havent figured that out yet... found a couple sites that sell rebuild parts individually... or as a kit for the whole side... but dont have the $$$ to do that right now... kinda like the idea of fixing it and having it just sitting on a shelf for the someday a future problem could come back and easily swap them out while fixing the one that comes out... just never know when youll need a back up...

im going to make a new thread in the 6.0 section of the forum for the pictures I just took comparing the 2 unison rings and the vanes... will post the edit the link into this post when im done... ironically it must have been an optical illusion of the size differences for the vanes... i did notice that on the parts sites they list 2 different size vanes.. one bigger than the other...

Well if you find it costs too much for the parts you know it will have a good home here is the wilderness.

If anyone has a 6.0L turbo they are wanting to get rid of let me know. I would like all the parts to be there.
It can be grenaded so long as the compressor housing and bolts are intact.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...eir-sizes.html

posted the pics and at the end i did a listing for the differences... now im curious about the unison ring that was in there when it burned up... i eventually got the unison ring out with a chisel and a 5 lb mini sledge...

I did the cold flush on my transmission with the upgrade to the 08 pan and filter. Also changed the transfer case fluid.

Well, I jumped in and found out Both the passengers side windows don’t work , already pulled the door panel off the rear door , I’m thinking motor , will see this weekend for the front pass side, fingers crossed it’s just a loose connection or driver control switch.

Having been there I know that a bad driver side switch can make it so the window will not work.

I know this Racor CCV4500 should be in Marketplace, but I've never got any traction over there. Maybe 6.0s need a selling thread.

I ended up with two due to a senior moment. Didn't clean it up and it's a bare housing. $100 and I'll pay for shipping Cont USA before it goes eBay.
