So what did you do to your 6.0L today?
I can say I almost am done with the wiring and programming.
I had to do a little digging through some boxes to find some 3 Phase cable and could not find it in #12 or #10
wire. Found a bunch in #8 and #6 but that won't fit the lugs. So for temporary I will use some motor control
wire that is #10. That leaves me with getting my hands on some #18 or #16 shielded wire for the controls. Then
I will be ready to see if something is going to go BAND. It will be so nice to have the pressure and air volume to
run tools and not have to pause every now and then for the compressor to play catch up.
Then I will finish off with the cleaning and origination of all the "stuff" so that I can get back to putting new parts
in the places they go. Right now I have things just piled in the center and one side.
My first project after I get all of that done will be checking and torquing all the large fasteners for the front end on
the project truck. Not too cool to have a radius arm fall off as your moving the truck around. I also found a guy that
can come over and do welding that is certified. I weld but am not to the level I would trust a radius arm bracket to
stay where I put it. Once that is done I can start on the seat swap.

all while kneeling on a steel steel radiator cross support bar... i swear i dont know why they make that drain tube such a pita to get outta there... woulda been nice to be able to have it screw in and out like an AN fitting... between that drain tube and the up pipes connection i hate both of them...
Look up some of the pillar pod installs. Diesel manor if i recall. I used the main wiring grommet or a existing grommet for my 06 like a decade ago for the boost, egt and trans... ive sent sold that truck or id show pics
A seat cushion showed up friday. Found some for 40 bucks. Already had a new leather cover. Now im wondering if a aftermarket seat heater would work well vs the oem that seems for go for a substantial amount more. Been actually daily driving the 6.0. Been kinda nice. It does take alot longer to warm up with a good oil cooler though
Does anyone know if they still offer the ability to use a edge evo to do remote ficm tuning? At one point power hungry was able to convert it possibly remotely to do ficm tuning then swap it back to a regular flash tuner. Its the sole reason ive kept it too this point past using it for a monitor
took a look under the dash since it wasnt raining today but didnt really work on it.. (still very muddy where the trucks at maybe tomorrow).. man that spot for the clutch master cylinder is way up further than i thought it would be... ntm over quite a bit too... felt up under the insulation like what showed in jacks link... felt a hole there.. but looking on the outside is a plastic cover... couldnt tell if it was bolted on or just used molded tree pins on the inside of it... had wondered what that thing was covering... so now i know.. will see how that goes...
New mirrors
IMPORTANT be sure to hey the correct electrical fitting. Some include adapters.
up note... i got the threaded fitting in the down pipe for the egt probe.. need to get a 1" hole saw so i can drill through the plastic cover that was over the clutch MC hole... gonna put the plate back in with the sensors running through it... but dont have the right size hole saw... got bigger and smaller but not just right... btw that down pipe 2 inches back has some pretty thick walls to it... and that foil heat shroud they wrap the pipe in has 2 layers of fiberglass in it...
downside... tried to put the plugs into the bottom of the manifolds that i had predrilled and plugged for the later probes... now that fricken plugs wont come out.... passenger side ones stripped now... driver side one wont budge either... i hate recessed hex crap...

Have someone in the truck engine running and then get under the front with a flashlight and look while they rock the steering wheel.
Take a close look at the track bar on both ends. The bushing and/or the ball joint on the axle end can and do fail. I did both on my last truck.
Also the bushing if the bolt is not torqued right can fail. Too loose or too tight can take it out.
Today I got another brown truck visit with a box. Now I have all the kit and it's time to install.
