I started replacing my cab mount bushings today. I got 6 out of 8 done. The two front mounts at the radiator I wasnt planning on touching today. Im going to find a friend to help me with those two.

The front passenger side and the drivers side middle were so stuck from rust I wasn't able to separate the sleeves. While trying to pound out the drivers side middle with the large bolt from the rear mount I wrecked the threads in the cup. I was able to put a nut and bolt through the cups just to get it back together. I finally cut the sleeves in half on those two. I'll have to find those parts and get them replaced. Anyone have part numbers for those to sleeves sets?

Wow that sounds like a PITA kind of problem. Did you spray then down a
day or two before starting the work? That might help wit the front ones.

Sure did. Sprayed them down everyday last week.
The problem is you cant really get penetrating oil between the sleeves.

Cab mounts

I just did the 4 corners of the cab. The middle and fronts are good and I donít have any help anyway. It was a job but I was able to knock it out by myself. What a difference.

Listened to the rattle of what I believe it to be, a ball joint, on the way to and from work.

Ordered 2 timken hubs, 2 sets of mevotech ball joints, and a rancho steering damper yesterday. I hope this is an easy task.......all are original.

Never heard of Mevotech. I did toss a bilstein damper on mine when I got it along with 5100 shocks (stock height). Been slowly collecting front end parts.

I used the Mevotech ball joints when I rebuilt the front steering on my truck, look to be very well made, greaseable, look to be well made. Rockauto sells them.

That didn't take long. I emailed them when mine broke in August and they did respond and acknowledge. I asked since they already made one for the 6.7l. I guess they heard from enough people.

Sparky may have been the "catalyst".

Surely I've ordered something from them. Can't really recall but I do know riff raff gets most of my money for the 6.0. I hate window decals but do like to support good products so all the decals go under the hood. I don't buy alot at cloths at clothing stores so I like to buy shirts, hats, and hoodies from places I've had good business with. Just got my son and I a hoodie from riff raff. Besides those clothes are reasonably priced compared to stuff at clothing stores. My daughter loves her flatbill ford powerstroke hat from dpp in Missouri. They don't sell parts but they are just a small joint with a great selection of ford hats.

But back to XDP, that says alot about their company tho. Makes you want to buy from them just because they simply deserve it. Quality is at an all time low anymore. Sad that buyers actually have to research a company before they purchase.

BTW, under the hood looks like a 1980s trapper keeper minus the garbage pale kids stickers.
