We share the same mind, this is why I went and picked mine up from a shop that couldn't keep their word about getting the work done.
First it was: "We'll have it out by Monday"
Then it was: "We got slammed today and couldn't get your transmission out, we'll have it out by Saturday"
Saturday comes, I go to drop off some parts, and I pull up at Noon, right as they're leaving for the day. Shop owner couldn't look at me and just eked out a "Hey man how's it going?"
Needless to say I picked up my truck and it sat in my driveway until I had the cash for the transmission....
We share the same mind, this is why I went and picked mine up from a shop that couldn't keep their word about getting the work done.

I took her on a 470 mile round trip with a 7k pound travel trailer in tow for half of it. There was supposed to be an 11k pound travel trailer behind on the way home but if I did not have bad luck I would have no luck. The new trailer will be delivered to my house by Monday, hopefully.
She sure drove nice with the new steering box.

I hear ya brother...I have the same type of luck letting others work on my Monster.
I've decided that I'd rather have her sit in my driveway, NOT RUNNING (which Monster has been doing for over a year while Wifey threatens to have her towed away and sold for scrap...
), while I try to figure out how to get her fixed than let ANYONE else work on her!!

Finding 3 or the 4 front driveline bolts loose when I remove the transfer case has me a but upset.
When I say loose I mean fingertip pull on the wrench loose.
As for me I have taken the last few days off so I can get to where I feel better. This cold has me beat.
I did a little truck shopping and hit the big 0.

Fords Discontinuing SP.. They now claims you can use LV... but that has always made me wonder... Royal purple's ATF is LV compliant but they say not to use it in transmissions requiring Merc SP.. (have had other companies tell me the same that have LV compliant ones..) so that really makes me wonder what the differences are between the 2 fluids... especially when Fords saying you can?
I do know Amsoil makes an ATF that is SP compliant...
