So what did you do to your 6.0L today?
I agree, I kept it well waxed until the Summer of 2012 and that's when the clear coat started to flake. I didn't think I'd end up keeping Rudolph either. When I bought the '05 October 2013, the plan was to sell Rudolph and pay down the loan on the '05. That didn't work out because there was simply too much sentimental value in Rudolph for me to sell.
A history of clayed, Zainoed, and a few polishes with a DA just can't fight off UV. But it takes a good decade for the coating guys to figure out if their clearcoat tech really works. You can do all the accelerated testing you like, just like we did with brakes, but real world with time is always the best test. Unfortunately.
I think the F-350 is jealous of the white racing stripes on the red Shelby and is trying to emulate on the roof. That's what I keep telling myself.

When I bought the 6.0L F-350 I was supposed to sell either the 2003 7.3L or the 2000 Excursion. Well, it's been almost 2 years and my bride keeps asking me if I took any pics so we can list it.
For my 50th birthday next month I know what I'm gonna ask for......
keeps my toys
Mine gets washed once a year - whether it needs it or not. Currently looking matt black.
Just hauled the first big load to the new farm, damn Belgian roads shook the trailer so hard the jockey wheel wound right down and got wiped out, only realized when I heard a metal scraping sound on the big bumps. Ordered a replacement today

One of my managers ripped a run-flat on his BMW last week going over (through?) a Belgian pothole, not cheap...
I'm sure Romania is even worse, but there's a reason the old French cars had such soft suspension. Because the normal highway was closed I took a route through the Ardennes and drove past a warning sign - highway to hell, shaker. No joke, that was 3 miles of rough concrete

This one is a Wrap -- something I knew nothing about until a friend had his Corvette wrapped. Apparently it can be cheaper than paint and you can change colors if you want or repair sections easier than painting.
And that about sums up my 2nd hand knowledge of wraps...

last time i went to the ER it was when my steel chop saw caught my thumb.. came home with a bandage, shot in the arm and $680 ER bill. which hurt more considering the job i was working on at the time was only paying $250.. so i made all of $-430.00
