Im having problems with my 1979 ford 3/4 ton clutch. I have it adjusted right on the fork but the clutch pedal wont return all the way up to normal position. There is a spring up under the dash and im fairly certain this is the problem it flexes to a certain point then you have to pull the pedal with your hand to return it to normal. Does anybody know how to fix this issue?
There is another spring under the cab that also helps return the pedal. Connects from the clutch linkage to a hole or bracket on the frame. Ya got that one too, right?
Yep i have the clutch fork spring on and i lubed every pivot point it just acts like its the spring under the dash but i dont know how to solve the problem to get the pedal to return all the way to normal position
Sorry for taking so long but the update is I had to take the spring out from under the dash and everything works completely fine now. I dont really see what the purpose of that spring was but that is what the problem was.
