1950 Ford F-1 Gas Cap

Greetings all,

I am confused on my 1950 F-1 gas cap...is it supposed to be vented?????

Yes. It is supposed to be vented.

...because your tank isn't! However, there are non-vented caps available for those who prefer to vent their original tank. I did that on my 48 because I did not want fumes in the truck. I ran the vent hose through the floor. Worked out quite well....
