Is this much play normal?

I'm still getting the "KLUNK" when shifting into reverse from park and when between forward and reverse. Is this much rear end play normal?

Another question.
In the Tcase is it possible to get play on the main output shaft?
It's the push button 4x4.

If the rear end play Is normal then I'll start looking into a manual Tcase. (I hate the push button 4wd.)

If I swap to a manual Tcase will it throw codes with out the auto motor being there? Or is that a wiring harness all by itself that can be removed?

I don't believe that there should be that much play, if any, going from Park to Reverse. Hopefully other will chime in though.

The first vid was in neutral wheels blocked turnin by hand,

Here's one just shifting from reverse to drive while holdin the brakes. The bang seems to get harder every time I cycle from D to R

I'm thinking what ever is causing that is why the shift kit slams from first to second... Being play in there somewhere.

All new ujoints and I had Therear end open a couple minths ago (this problem has been here since i got the truck 2yrs ago) and nothing looks bad, cleaned everything up and new fluid put in

Just looks like a worn gear. There is a spec for the backlash that you measure with a dial indicator. That looks like you
Need to use a ruler!

I don't think that is normal. My truck looked like that and when I pulled the cover, I found the spider gears in the differential had worn out the thrust washers, the lock-bolt holding the differential pinion in place had sheared, and the splines on one or both of the axles were worn. The backlash on the ring and pinion gears was still normal.
