Yup, I mounted a hand crank winch to the garage floor.
I think I will replace it with a motor if I want/need to take it out again before it is drivable.

With that mounted now you don't have to worry about if you should or shouldn't push it out. You now have a way to get it back in even if help isn't available.

I haven't looked at this thread before so I went back a few pages and checked it out. The paint job and wetsanding/buffing job you did looks phenomenal! I painted my hood/top about a year and a half ago and I think it turned out pretty well, but there are definitely defects. I only just recently wetsanded half of the hood. I manged to use a rotary and buff it out pretty well. There are still some buffing marks but they aren't too bad. The other half of my hood could use some wetsanding too, but I have to finish putting my engine back together first!

I'm getting bronco withdraws! It's been over a week since I've been able to drive my truck! Once I took out the cylinder heads, there was just too much extra stuff I "NEEDED" to do when everything was apart and out. I think I may be able to get it up and running tomorrow, just hope I did it right!

Anyways the painting and powder coating of you grill look great. Seeing your headers makes me want to try and clean mine back up, especially since I'm painting and cleaning up the engine parts I took off. They are bassani ceramic coated, but they seemed to get dull over a year. Either that, or seeing how nice yours are makes me think mine are dull... they maybe were never as shiny as yours.

Been a while since my last update, haven't had much time lately.
Got the front end installed, I am really happy with the way it looks.

This is what I am thinking of doing for the scroll on the hod, it is a decal but for size and scale it is perfect.

Final hood gaps ended up pretty good

Damn man. That is about as good a fit as anyone will ever get with 36 year old sheet metal. You are really an exceptional mech/bodyman.

Good to see you back at it. You better hurry or you won't be able to get rid of me once we move to that side of town

I like your idea for the hood scroll. Does it mean anything to you, or does it just look good?

I tried calling but no answer. I guess if has been taken for at least a few days. Oh well.
Even so, it will be nice to be only a couple minutes away instead of all the way across town.

Thanks, I just like the look of it, no special meaning.

Ordered up a few parts today:

Nostalgic AC kit
Carpet kit
A crap load of weatherstripping, window seals, misc. trim
Brake calipers and pads

Spent about $2900, holy hell!

Parts should start to arrive next week then the fun begins.
May just be driving this pig by summer!
