Get the number off the driveshaft tag and call a driveline shop. They will give you the part number and price. Then shop around.

Do you have Auto Zone near you? They have Timken and may have a part number for you?

You should be able to get the Timken HB88107A for $18.99 at Autozone. At least that's what it shows for at my local store.

Anyone have some instructions on how to remove and replace the bearing?

F81Z-4800-FA. MSRP $120.60.

The TIMKEN part (which I think is HB88107A Drive Shaft Center Support Bearing) is $25 delivered from AMAZON.

Why the crazy discrepancy?!?!?!

National Bearing also makes the part and has it listed with prices varying from$20-50$....Why the variation in prices? Is the quality going to vary that much?

I was wrong! Autozone does sell the Timken part but claims it does not fit my 2002 7.3 AWD.

Timken/Driveshaft Center Support (HB88107A) | AutoZone.com

Rock Auto says it does fit!

Who is correct?

Not to muddy up the water... But I thought there was 2 different size c.b. for our trucks. If I recall there is 2 different drive shaft O.D.'s . Is this true?? I had written down Spicer # 211499x and #211359x And I didn't write down with one was what but I made a note that bearing I.D. was 1.574

Hopefully later tonight I'll see if I can't answer my own question. Unless one of you know anything about there being 2 different sizes. Thanks !!

Yes there are two diameters. See here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...placement.html

...and you need a 1 5/16" socket to get it off.
