169k

2003 E150 XLT 4.6L, 4R70W auto, 3.55 Trac-Lokwith 169,200 miles
I'm the third owner, got this van just over a month ago, and put 1k miles on it so far.
When I got the van it had a misfire on cylinder 6, oil black as night, air filter with 5lbs of dust, and some more rough edges.
I've replaced:
Immediately changed oil and air filter
8 coils and plugs (nightmarish)
Fuel filter
New Michelin tires (painted wheels)
Windshield
Headlight housings
Turn signal housings
About to flush coolant

Another milestone, I rolled it 300,000 last Friday on a 400mi round trip. I'm very pleased with the 5.4 2V longevity, it really is a fantastic engine. The 4R75 trans is still stock too and just keeps going. No new mechanical issues other than the heat shields on the exhaust rattle all the time and I can't seem to figure out which one it is lol. 300,700 miles today and the HVAC fan switch melted and stuck on med-hi, go figure
Well, an overdue conclusion to my older posts. I made it to 312,892 miles on my 2003 E150 cargo. I retired my perfect running/driving van last August to use its doors, front clip, shelving units and non-smoker near mint interior in my (at that time) new to me '99 E350 7.3 diesel that greatly needed them. The engine/trans was running great when I parted it out and had just received its 102nd oil change. I bought it with 96k original miles and drove it to 312k in five years, only time it stranded was when the fuel pump failed at 150k, other than that, nothing else super major. Never popped a plug. I gave the engine to a friend and eventually it will find its way into a project after a freshen up so good afterlife to a fine workhorse :-)

Van itself spent new/2003-2010 in Ohio and '11-16 in Kansas-Missouri so it had some rust underneath. I parted it down to a frame and shell and rolled it over the scales and watched them claw it into the grinder. Got $49 for it......

215,000 so far on our 2000 F-150 4x4 5.4 liter.

Repairs so far...

Thermostat O-ring a couple of times, and the intake manifold just bit the dust (ouch!!!). Other than those it's just been oil and plugs. Pretty good engine IMO.

my brother bought it new in 2000 and my dad bought it from him in 2005 and gave it to me a few years later as a 16th birthday present. My dad actually passed this year while we where restoring it together. I completed it a few months later. This is my one and only vehicle I have owned since 16 and I'm now 23. And no matter how rough she looks or how many times I have to change a damn coil pack I will never sell her.

211k

I have 211k on my 2012 Expedition. It's in the shop for a new water pump today, replacing the original. It's had Ford full synthetic oil it's whole life with oil changes between 5k and 7.5k miles.

Runs excellent and is a great road vehicle.

How many miles?

Just bought a 2006 5.4 F-250 CCLB that has 254,000 miles. Needs plugs, coils and u- joints. Drove it 1200 miles home at 75 to 80 mph used about half a quart of oil.

I bought a2006 f150 4.6 supercab last year with 175000.now it has 187000.still running great.I have seen some trucks that have over 250000 on the 4.6 still runs like new.only flaw I have with these engines are the timing chain tensioner, once they start ticking go ahead and park it and get ready to install new ones.wait too late they are toast. My dad sells lots of used 4.6 ,5.4 f150 and f250s.only seen one or two that were too far to save.cam phas ers can cause a problem on the 5.4 3v engines but aren't too hard to replace if you but the timing chain wedge to hold the lower section in place while you take the upper part apart.good luck in your search.

228k. I bought it with around 174k.

Replaced:
Plugs (twice)
Coils
Intake manifold (twice- the Dorman manifold is junk compared to an OEM)
Fuel pump
Radiator
Alternator
And a lot of usual stuff: brakes (twice), tires, headlight housings, trans fluid, trans filter, etc.....

I originally posted at the beginning of this thread (post #23) so it's been a while, I figured I'd post an update.
I still have the '07 and my nephew still has the '00.
The 2000 hasn't added a lot of miles, right now it's around 291,000. Kinda hard to tell, the digital odometer comes and goes, a common problem. It doesn't get used a lot, sorta when a truck is needed, it's there, but it is still as dependable as can be. It has a random miss that is probably plugs.
I still use the '07 as my daily driver. It now has 245,640 miles on it. The only thing I've done to it is (religiously) regular oil changes every 3,000 miles. I use conventional 5W30 oil.
I've also done two plug changes myself and have not broken any plugs. The cam phasers are the original ones.
About 6,000 miles ago I replaced the water pump along with the serpentine belt, idler pulleys and tensioner, just because. It wasn't leaking. More preventive maintenance than anything else.
When I changed the hoses, I did the radiator and the fill hose but when it came to the heater hoses I tried for nearly two hours and gave up, I just can't get my big paws up under the firewall to release the quick disconnects so I took it to the dealer and had them do it for me.
The only "failure" I've experienced on this truck is one alternator at 216,000 miles.

I see not a whole lot of action on this thread so I'll post another update:
Well, my red '07 will never see 250,000 miles. So close but it'll never happen.
I was running some errands this morning and a bozo decided to wreck my truck!
I was stopped at a stop sign at the time, waiting to make a right hand turn.
