This is my first time posting so I'm not sure if I am doing this right. If not please let Me know.
I have a 78 f-150 custom with a 351M, it has been sitting for about a month cause the clutch went out. I just got a new one in and started it up an it ran fine for about 10 minutes and then the oil pressure started dropping to about 35-40 when i was on the gas and below 10 when it was at idle.
And the temp was a little high to so i shut it off and checked it out and i noticed my radiator was leaking, I was wondering if the low oil pressure could be caused by the radiator leak and the high temperatures? If not any ideas as to what it could be?

Is there water or gas in the oil? Obviously it is running lower than normal psi.

 

Not that i could see. I checked the oil and it didn't seem deluded or anything.

 

Just a thought. Depends on how hot to drop the oil pressure. Oil would would almost have to be boiling to see a significant drop. I would change the oil ang go from there

 

It got about 50 degrees hotter then normal before I shut it off. Okay thank you I will change the oil and see if that helps.
