I am pretty sure that all diesel trucks regardless of cab style had the D50 after 84 from research I did back when I was dd-ing my IDI's.

Maybe it was the early ext cabs that the switch was on then, been a few years since I've dealt with them.

that is true about small gas powered trucks and the 250's with the non floating rear. but i have never seen a diesel or 460 powered truck with a D-44.
