Factory Rear Bumper Options for 1965 F100

I'm curious as to what rear bumpers were offered for the 1965 Ford F100?

Was there a factory rear step bumper offered?

As always, thanks.

No.
You need to be more specific when asking this question, because...there are FIVE possible rear bumpers!

Styleside or Flareside? If Styleside, 2WD or 4WD?

6 5/8" high: Painted (C4TZ-17906-A) or chrome (C4TZ-17906-B) contoured rear bumpers. The chrome bumper is reproduced.

Contoured: The bumper is dished inwards at the center where the license plate mounts.

Styleside applications: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1967/77 F100/350.

The brackets are the same 1964/72. 1973/77 are different.

Hey "Bill / Retired Ford Parts Manager"....Is there a way to put a 1973 bumper (40") on a 1965 truck (35 1/2)...? I have a 1965 with a step bumper, can get a 1973 chrome bumper for nothing, but mounts are different widths. Is there a bracket that allows to go between the 2 different types? Thanks...

I have a later Bronco chrome bumper on mine. I put aluminum spacers between the Bronco brackets and the 34" '66 frame.

Step bumper

My 65 is an F250 Camper Special. It has a step bumper that actually slides in and out, presumably to accommodate different length campers in the bed. If you could get one of these, you might be able to adapt it to your F100. Might not be correct application wise, but it would still be a 65 Ford.

No.
The Styleside painted & chrome contoured rear bumpers are the same 1964/77. But, 1964/72's use different brackets than 1973/77's.

I typed this same info in post #4 on 3/04/2012.

Alecs: Your F250 has an aftermarket step bumper, the tailgate is from a 1967/72 F100/350, hubcaps are from a 1967/77 F250.

I like your shingled 'Cape Cod' house, my aunt lives in a similar house in Sandwich.

Well jeez,
I didn't realize that the original question was from 2012! I imagine it has been answered already.

Yes, when I got the CS last year, it had no tailgate (other than a spare ~'80s gate that was strapped down in the bed) and it had non stock split rim wheels with 30+ year old tires. I found the 67-72 tailgate on eBay, as well as some later E250/F250 rims. The 67 hubcaps were as close as I could find. I didn't know the bumper was aftermarket. It's pretty stout, anyway. The front bumper is cut to width from a tractor trailer bumper, I'm told.

Now, what model/year/application is the bathtub?

Don't see any 1948/50 Packard's or 1949/51 Nash's in this old car/truck show pic. Both were called bathtubs, due to their bulbous bodies.

The actual bathtub is in the bed of the truck a few posts above...

Here I thought he was going to use the tub to put big tires on the back.
