Window ventvisors

Window ventvisors
I'm wanting to put some window vent visors on my 03 f150 front driver and passenger side windows but I'm not sure which would be better the 3m tape on ones or the in-channel ones. I just want to be able to crack my windows without haveing to worry about rain dripping in.

I've had both and I never liked either of them. I didn't like the tape on ones for the simple fact that I don't like to stick anything to paint. The in-channel ones are much cleaner looking. They do tend to bind the glass a little bit when your opening or closing the window. I've even heard guys say they contributed to wearing out the power window motors prematurely(if your truck is so equipped). I didn't have mine for long, so I can't comment on that.

I prefer the inchannels. From a shop point of view in channels are the way to go. I used to challenge customers I could put them in the window faster than they could get them out of the packaging. Unlike the tape ons, they didn't require pre-marking so they were a fast install. Plus if they had to be removed, you didn't have to spend 2 hrs getting tape and residue off.
Brand may make a difference on the binding issue. Weathertech makes a great set, the lip is machined and perhaps that is why mine has been fine for 11 years. EGR was another brand we sold often. EGR was a good price point, about half of weathertech's price but good quality.
