You only pulled one injector right? I used a syringe to suck it out. You can leave the other glow plugs out and put the injector in. As long as that broke glow plug isn't in the same cylinder you should be able to pull fuse 22 and just crank away even if you cant get the oil out of that cylinder. It will blow out the glow plug hole.

I pulled all 8 injectors and replaced the orings. All but #8 are back in. I think I am going to pull the head so I can get the glow plug out and visually inspect the #8 cylinder for issues. Atleast that is what I'm telling myself.... Is there a write up on this and can I reuse the head bolts?
I'm not sure on a write up but you'll have to buy new head bolts
Just checking Mike, does a guy "have" to replace the head bolts? I'm not sure, that is why I ask. I've built many engines with used head bolts with no issues, but none have had quite this high of compression either.
If you are gonna pull the head, make sure you have help or a cherry picker would be best. They are real heavy. I don't have a writeup either, but pull the injectors back out first so you don't damage them.
I ve reused em before too on small blocks. The bolts on these engines or one time use. They've been stretched out. In normal driving I'd think it would be ok but after you start boosting on it is where I think the problem would come in
Alright upon further inspection I have 2 big chips in the top of my piston #8 and I do have scars on the cylinder.... I know the scars on the cylinder are rings, but what would cause the chips? It also looks like cavitation on there.... What do I need to do now?
